WhichMain is a Weapon recommendation tool I built to help players discover Weapons that match how they like to play in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Recommendations are based on playstyle traits, roles, and gameplay patterns.

Who Built This

I'm a solo developer and long-time player of competitive games. I built this tool to answer a question I kept running into across multiple games: "which weapon plays like the one I already enjoy?"

The tag profiles are built from direct play experience across each roster, not patch notes or scraped data. Tagging is done manually and updated as rosters change.

If a recommendation seems off or a tag description looks wrong, the contact page is the fastest way to flag it.

Part of the WhichMain Network

WhichMain is one corner of WhichMain, a network of recommenders I run across Monster Hunter Wilds, League of Legends, Valorant, Dota 2, and more. It is still one developer, just no longer one game: every roster in the network is mapped in the same playstyle trait language.

Because the games share that language, you can start from a main you already love in another game and translate it into Monster Hunter Wilds. One account and one Premium work on every site in the network.
